The Field of Boaz is a used furniture ministry of the Oak Ridge Free
Methodist Church. This ministry is named after the account given in
the Bible in the book of Ruth, of the great grandmother of King
David, a woman who provided for her mother-in-law and herself by
gleaning the corn that was left over by the reapers in the fields of a
man named Boaz.
The Field of Boaz ministry seeks to glean used furniture in good
condition from residents and businesses in the community, and to
redistribute it free of charge to people in need, as the church learns
of them through referrals from various agencies and churches. The
primary items the church finds the greatest need for are beds,
couches and living room chairs, kitchen/dining room tables and
chairs, and dressers. If you have any of these items in good
condition that you would like to donate, please call (315) 868-0419
and leave a message with your contact information.
